Sports massage in Sway, Hampshire

Move better.Recover well.

Targeted sports massage for active adults who want to reduce muscular tension, support recovery and keep doing the things they enjoy.

Every appointment is adapted to what your body needs on the day, whether you train regularly, spend long hours at a desk or simply want to move with greater comfort.

More than a standard massage

Sports massage shaped around you

You don’t need to be an athlete to benefit from sports massage.

Treatment can be helpful when muscular tension, stiffness or demanding training begins to affect how you move, recover or feel day to day.

Rather than following the same routine for everyone, Amy considers your movement, training, workload and goals before deciding where treatment should be focused.

Your appointment may combine targeted sports massage with simple movement or sensory techniques when appropriate. The aim is to provide treatment that makes sense for your body, not simply to work on the area that feels tight.

Frequently asked questions

Useful things to know

Do I need to play sport?

No. Sports massage is suitable for many active adults, including gym users, runners, cyclists, walkers, people with physically demanding jobs and those experiencing muscular tension from desk-based work.

Will sports massage hurt?

Sports massage can involve firm pressure, but treatment should not feel unnecessarily aggressive. Amy will adapt the pressure and techniques according to your needs, comfort and response.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing. Depending on the area being treated, you may be asked to remove some clothing. Towels are used appropriately to maintain your comfort and privacy throughout treatment.

What should I do before my appointment?

Avoid an unusually demanding workout immediately before your appointment and arrive well hydrated. Please provide relevant health information when completing your booking form.

Can sports massage treat an injury or medical condition?

Sports massage can support muscular comfort, movement and recovery, but it does not replace medical assessment or treatment. If you have a new, severe, unexplained or worsening symptom, please seek appropriate medical advice.

Is this the same as an initial Linford Method consultation?

No. Sports massage is a focused 60-minute hands-on appointment. If you need a more detailed assessment of persistent pain, recurring movement problems or a complex injury history, the 90-minute Initial Consultation may be more appropriate. If you are unsure which appointment to choose, contact Amy before booking.

How often should I book?

That depends on your goals, training demands and how your body responds. Some people book occasionally around periods of heavy activity, while others use regular appointments as part of their maintenance and recovery plan. You will not be pressured into unnecessary repeat appointments.
